Chemistry is one of the dreaded subjects in school. Yet it is the subject that affects our day to day living. In this article, we will discuss the basic topics of chemistry 101.

What are the advantages of flow production? In chemistry 101, one of the most basic topics is the study of matter. It is the atom and molecules that basically makes up matter. A single element particle like gold, silver and potassium is called an atom. Molecules are composed of two or more atoms like water and carbon dioxide. A matter can also be made up by two different substances.

It is the atoms that make up any matter. But atoms are not the smallest units of matter. Protons and neutrons are the ones that make up an atom. It is the protons that are positively charged electrons while the electrons are the negative ones and the neutrons have no charge at all. The number of protons present o each atom differentiates the from one another. A carbon atom, for example, has twelve  protons while a hydrogen atom only has one. Atoms are basically neutral particles, which means, the do not have any charge. The proton and neutron in an atom are equal. If the atom has more electrons, then it will have more reaction. A single element is made up of one type of atom.

The chemical bond of more than one atom is called molecules. If you want to know the type of bond of a molecule, you also have to know its chemical properties. He outermost energy level of a molecule is based on its electrons. Molecules are considered to have a full outermost energy level. Helium and neon gasses which are also known as noble gasses have no molecules because of the full outermost energy it has. The physical properties of atoms like solid, gas, and liquid are determined by how strong the bond of the atom are. Check this post here:

The existence of molecules and atoms can be seen in the three states of matter and that is solid, liquid, and gas which is also discussed in chemistry 101 The highest molecular structure among all matter is solid which is followed by liquid and then gas. The interaction of gas with each other is very little due to their far molecular structure.

A substance is the mixture of one or more homogeneous material just like in a liquid phase, this is also one of the topics on chemistry 101. The solvent is the one that has the higher mount while the solute is the one that has less. One example is sea water, the solute is salt while the water is the solution. Solutions which have the same positive and negative region will dissolve each other while those who have different regions will not. One of the many continuous processing solutions that will not dissolve each other is oil and water.
